The Peasants' War
The Peasantry's unmet demand for economic, religious and political amendments has lead to violent revolts erupting across our nation.

The Peasants' War[1] is a general disaster that can occur in all countries during the Age of Discovery.png ‘Age of Discovery’ that have low national manpower reserve and negative stability.

Prerequisites[edit]

It is currently the Age of Discovery.png ‘Age of Discovery’ and the country:

If these prerequisites are met, the monthly progress can begin.

Monthly progress starts if Monthly progress halts if

this country:

  • does not have an ongoing disaster.
  • is not at war.
  • has a Manpower.png manpower level of less than 25%.
  • has Icon stability.png stability of less than 0.
Monthly progress This country:
+2.0% is bankrupt.
+1.5% is a monarchy and has Legitimacy.png legitimacy of less than 50.
+1.0% has Icon war exhaustion.png war exhaustion of at least 10.
+1.0% has at least 10 loans.
+1.0% has Icon stability.png stability of less than 1.
+1.0% has Overextension.png overextension of at least 50%.
+0.5% has Overextension.png overextension of at least 25% but less than 50.

Note: If the requirements for progress are fulfilled, then it is at least 1% due to stability.

at least one of the following is true for this country:
  • has an ongoing disaster.
  • has a Manpower.png manpower level of at least 50%.

Even though there is no central leadership and they lack proper armament, the peasants have still managed to pose a challenge to the authority. Several important buildings, both religious and other, have been burnt and plundered as a protest.
